Magnesium Chloride Safe for Concrete

A recent study at Purdue University has indicated that magnesium chloride is less destructive to Type 1 concrete than calcium chloride. Both the mass change and relative dynamic modulus of elasticity (RDME) were better for MgCl2 than for CaCl2 for both wet/dry and freeze/thaw cycles.
